THE CRAB

Cancers, just like the crab, have a sensitive interior protected by a hard exoskeleton. In time, Cancers reveal their gentle nature, compassion, and emotional depth.

Summary

I have created visual structure on the tarot card by creating hierarchy. By breaking up content into sections makes it easy for any user to quickly understand the meaning and uage of the card. Using h1, h2, and p tags, gives a hierarchial structure to the card because I am able to control what sequence users will read the card. This makes it so even screen readers will recognize and display the information in the correct order. With a light textured background, the dark reds and blues stand out against it because they are distincting enough to seperate easily by eye. The red and blue are strong opponents to eachother, so having space and not layering the colors eases the eye to focus on only one at once. The card's background with the red imagery and blue text create a high contrast that is distinguishable in greyscale without loosing information. This card avoids color parings that are difficult to distinguish for people with colorblindness. I used the color red to distinguish the imagery, the color blue to distinguish the text, and a light blue background to push the imagery and text forward. Color and usage both influence the differnece.
